Efficient energy generation with cogeneration plants
At Rosen Kretz, we rely on sustainable energy generation through modern combined heat and power (CHP) systems. This technology enables the simultaneous generation of electricity and heat, which is used 100% in our operations.
The electricity produced powers our systems and lighting, while the resulting waste heat is efficiently used to heat our greenhouses. Through this optimal use of resources, we increase our energy efficiency and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions.
By using cogeneration plants, we are making an active contribution to sustainability and ensuring environmentally friendly production of our high-quality roses.
Sustainable heat supply with wood chips
At Rosen Kretz, we rely on wood chips as an environmentally friendly energy source to efficiently heat our greenhouses. This sustainable energy source comes from regional forestry and ensures a climate-friendly heat supply.
By using wood chips, we reduce our consumption of fossil fuels and make an important contribution to CO₂ reduction. The resulting heat enables optimal growing conditions for our roses – regardless of external weather conditions.

Sustainable energy generation through solar power
At Rosen Kretz, we rely on modern photovoltaic systems to sustainably meet our energy needs. The solar cells convert sunlight directly into electricity, which we use to power our greenhouses and other facilities.
Excess electricity is fed into the public grid, thereby actively contributing to the energy transition. In this way, we combine sustainable rose production with an environmentally friendly energy supply while simultaneously reducing our carbon footprint.
